Members confirmed that collar bone and base-of-skull pain are common fibromyalgia symptoms, with several sharing that these areas hurt consistently or worsen during flares. Many described practical strategies that have helped, including massaging painful areas daily, adjusting sleep positions and pillow height, using washcloths to cushion CPAP straps, and identifying daily habits that might aggravate the pain. A recurring theme was the reminder that fibromyalgia is a nerve disorder capable of causing pain anywhere in the body, and while some members reported worsening symptoms over time, others emphasized the importance of working with doctors on medications and understanding personal triggers.

Yes. I am surprised by how many people on here do not realize that Fibromyalgia can cause pain anywhere from head to toe. It is a nerve disorder and there are nerves everywhere on our bodies. Try to massage those areas daily and try to find out what you might be doing to aggravate that area. It could be how you sleep, sit, read, etc.

Yes I get both more so at the base of my head which makes it hard to wear my cpap mask for sleep apnea and I don't get much sleep on those night's I have been having to put a washcloth around the strap so it doesn't feel like it's cutting through my head.

I have had fibromyalgia since 2008. Unfortunately it just gets worse and worse. I worked a fast paced job 25 years. Now I suffer daily. It’s so sad
