Cannabis - Medical Marijuana
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been reading a lot about Medical Marijuana and wonder if any one has tried the cannabis oil or cream. From what I read Fibro is one of the many illnesses it can help. I live in Ohio so it is legal here. Just curious if anyone has tried it?

Oil can take up to 2 hours to be effective, but the relief could last 4-6 hrs. You will want the CBD content to be 15% or higher. Oil gives you more of a body buzz instead of a head high. I’m waiting for a government approved cream here in Canada, so far only dried marijuana and oil is medically legal so far. Creams are available but not regulated, so you really don’t know what you’re getting? I personally smoke my marijuana using a bong. The effects are instant, last 2-4 hrs, I use both CBD and THC, or a combo of both. THC allows your mind to relax, and lift your spirits. Sativa strains for daytime, try to stay below 7% THC, and Indica strains for bedtime, 15% or higher will make you feel sleepy.

I use it every day and it really does help to relax me. I don't take any pain meds, I have been through hell and back w/pain meds so the CBD is all I use. I use a vape.

Hey there! I’m not a regular smoker, but every time I do.. My pain is GONE for at least 24 hours! I go up the stairs so fast and easy.. the next day..I noticed the 3xs I’ve done it.. I feel so much better then and the whole next day.. Pain pills don’t help...

I’m on a pill form called nabilone, with gabapentin and sumboltta? (Duloxetine). This combination helps a bit.

I live in Indiana so it's not available yet. Just remember everyone is different. I would definitely give it a try if I could. Anything would be great if it helped and I could take fewer medications.
