I experience hot and cold flushes on a daily bases something several times and there doesn’t seem to be any media use so they just put it in the fibro basked. Does anyone else suffer this and if so can you recommend any treatment you’ve tried or heard of that works for you?
Hello I experience the flashes during the day and night. I haven't found a solution on controlling them, I have gotten use to them like everything else we have to contend with. May you have a blessed day.
I have them all time too and random cold sweats

I’m always having hot and cold flashes. Cold is easy - layer up on clothing. Hot not so easy - mine happen mostly at night. I’ve found if I go to the bathroom it helps relieve them. If not, I’ll use a cold wash cloth on my face, then tool it up and put it behind my neck. I’ve even taken Tylenol because it’s an anti-inflammatory. Don’t take niacin at night. It causes a flush. Soft and warm hugs to you!
@A MyFibroTeam Member,
Mine will happen in the middle of night time. I spend a LOT of time trying to get the thermostat and furnace a comfortable temperature. With winds blowing fierce for almost a week, it was very cool feeling. I'd have my "Heat Therapy" *Sombra applied to shoulders and lower back, as usual. Around 5a.m., you would think there is a "FIRE!" I'm still "wobbly" from pulling myself up the stairs to bedroom. So going down them means another trip up, again. SO--I go downstairs to turn back the thermostat and "pull my body back up the steps, again.
Last night, I could not wait for the Moon to rise soon enough. So I went up to bed. When awakening around 5:30a.m., I looked out of my back window and saw the Moon. It was behind a tree and surrounded by cloud. Still, I took pictures AFTER coming downstairs turning thermostat down. I then brought camera upstairs, opened window and took what I could. The cool air felt good for a few moments.
Here is a picture JUST for you:
I am not menopausal, but I have crazy-bad temperature fluctuations. I routinely wear a tank top in the winter and a long sleeve button-front shirt over it. When the sweats begin, I rip off the button shirt, then minutes later have to put it back on because I am shivering. I sweat so much that my hair, chest, and back are all drenched. Very uncomfortable.
