How Do You Remember To Take Your Meds!!!?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've got pill boxes with days of the week, I set alarms to take them at the right time & then a reminder alarm, but I STILL somehow miss taking my medication!!! Like today.. Could have sworn I took my meds this morning, but when I came to take my evening one... The morning ones were still in today's section! It's things like this that honestly make me feel like I've lost my mind!!!
So how do my fibro family members remember to take your meds.. On time, every day!!?

Put morning pills in your coffee cup.

Leave the lid open after you take the pills on your pill box and keep the box out where you can see it.

Dear Becky, it sounds like you have a lot on your plate. It must have been frustrating, maddening even to try so many meds for pain and not have them work out. I take sertraline as well, 100 mg, but as an antidepressant. In addition, I take about 12 or 13 other drugs for a variety of conditions plus about 8 or 9 supplements. I take only two prescriptions for pain: @Lyrica and Celebrex. The latter is for arthritis, but I wonder a lot if it helps.

What would you say are your most distressing symptoms? Pain, fatigue, fibro-fog, something else or all of them?

I recently started taking a B-complex vitamin with my first meal of the day. I've found that it gives me more energy and clears my head somewhat. Maybe the longer I take it, the better my own fog will be. You have to take it with a meal for best absorption.

If you are getting any benefit from your sertraline, you may want to consider continuing with it. But if you are getting bad side effects, that's something else. There are other options as far as antidepressants go that may have fewer side effects for your body chemistry. Please don't give up on modern medicine yet. The way I see it (but you don't have to) is a balance of medicine and natural remedies for those of us with fibromyalgia can sometimes be the right balance, but it is personal and needs to be fine-tuned. I wish you luck and am available to answer any questions.
God bless you,
Kathryn

I use an an app called MyTherapy. It tracks all my medication. You can set alarms to take your meds. The plus is you can set it so the alarm will go off every 5 minutes till you tell it you have taken your meds. It will also track other things such as exercise. You can aIso use it for a journal to track your symptoms. It is available for Android or iPhone
