I have taken HRT (Vivelle Dot) for 37 years now since I had a total hysterectomy. Has anyone ever discontinued HRT and has it had any effects on your fibro? Did you ween yourself off or go cold turkey?
How did your fibro react? Did you end up going back on?

@A MyFibroTeam Member, Thank you :) I'm not going off. I'm just lowering my dosage a little. I'm afraid to do this. I do believe HRT helps with my mood also. I have read that estrogen can interfere with thyroid medication absorption. I'm hoping reducing the estrogen a little will help me even out my thyroid which seems to be always bouncing around.

@A MyFibroTeam Member i talk to my drs like anyone else. They are not gods and no one knows my body better than me. Ik all of the meds and i have done so much research that i have to tell them things. I only live once and i can fire a dr just like i hire a dr for their services. They are working for me and they need to listen and be attentive. No eye contact?? No go. Im just looking out for me bc they arent the ones who have to suffer from the choices they make for us. Real talk here. Real love too. Be blessed

No difference in generic and vivelle. Its all abt the money. I try to give greedy PHARMA the least amt of money that i can. Peace and love. I would not wanna go off my hormones. They keep my mood much smoother; with all of this pain. I do not need to be worrying abt one more thing. Fibro is enough and i tell drs that.

Thank you so much @A MyFibroTeam Member. Did you notice a difference in the generic and the brand name of the Vivelle Dot? I agree we need to choose our battles carefully and keep them to as few as we can. Peace of mind and relaxation is so important. I wish both to you too.
