I get very shaky, sweaty and hot. My skin feels like a mass of fire ants crawling around. I mentioned this to my doctor and I had test done on my heart. I do have an skipped beat and palpitations going on. But my heart is fine. i asked my pharmacy if it might be my meds but they said no. Does this happen to others or am I just a weirdo? Thanks for any input!

Members validated the original poster's experience of extreme shakiness, sweating, and crawling skin sensations after physical activity, sharing that these symptoms are common and often misunderstood reactions to overexertion with fibromyalgia. Several members described similar struggles with heat intolerance, severe head sweating in any weather, dizziness, lightheadedness, and painful skin sensations when exposed to sun or cold, with some finding partial relief through medications like Trokendi XR or Horizant, though managing side effects remains an ongoing challenge. A recurring theme was the importance of pacing oneself, being mindful of the next-day crash after overexertion, and finding solidarity in a community that understands the real and frustrating nature of these symptoms.

That's me going up my stairs or 5min on a treadmill @ super slow pace. This is what I think of when people tell me to exercise.

For the last 4 years, I am experiencing getting very hot and sweating from my forehead when I do any kind of housework. It happens when I am walking around stores. My Doctor said it could be my Cymbalta. It really drives me crazy. Bernice

I have heat intolerance, my head sweats very easy and severely...my hair drips with sweat. I have to pace myself because it can be 20 degrees and i still sweat. I will start to sweat, then vision blurs, i get light headed if i don't stop to cool down i will black out.

There is a medical term for this when you do too much, then really feeling worse the next day. Like the Spoon Theory, let's say we have ten spoons a day. But then you start over doing it, stealing spoons from tomorrows. So, the next day, we are running like someone with over five spoons. I try to rest every other day when I am busy, this is my rest day. if that is possible. Best to you.
