Has Anyone With Fibro Affecting Their Neck, Shoulders, And Arms Had/considered Having A Breast Reduction?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm considering doing this because of the pain. I have indents in my shoulders,(from the weight and bra straps),and a lump on the back of my neck, I believe from poor posture.

If anyone has had this dome I would like to know if it helped.

Thank you

I had breast reduction surgery about 10 years, and it wasn’t too hard to recover from. It’s one of the best choices I’ve ever made! Your breasts will look really weird for about a month, and then they start looking pretty normal. It didn’t cure my back pain, but it helped decrease it, plus I can wear normal size bras now!

@A MyFibroTeam Member My girls never changed in size, except for the band size! It was because my breasts were mostly “breast tissue” and not fat. They were so heavy! They removed 3.5 lbs total, and it’s been great!

@A MyFibroTeam Member... I was over 200lbs and now I'm 150...I've been as low as 143 and only went down 1 cup size...these girls aren't goin' anywhere! 😂

I have the same problem my neck shoulders and arm hurt and I have deep crevices on top of shoulder I was considering getting a breast reduction but my cousin had one done a couple of weeks ago, she’s tough and she’s has horrible pain and several of her friends had it done and they said it takes a year to get over surgery so I decided I was not up to that! But everybody is different I do believe in the long run we would get a lot of relief good luck on making your decisions! JulieDobsonRupp
