Looking For A Doctor, Can You Help?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello,
I am having huge difficulty in finding a doctor that will create a treatment plan for my fibro. I've seen 14 doctors from internal medicine to rheumatologists to neurologists. I've just been passed around from doctor to doctor. I am looking for recommendations from Phildelphia to DC. I am in the midst in the looking in the provider directory but right now it is overwhelming.

Thanks for your help,

Leerin

Have you tried a referral to a Pain Specialist? Dr.'s are very hesitant now to treat any chronic pain . Mine listens to me and i do not take any pain meds anymore. Not because he wont prescribe them because he listened to how I want to be treated and came up with a plan that is working. He has been a Godsend and I am treated, and everyone else, very respextfully there.

I've been to two pain specialists, the first gave me medication and was $300 and told me to go to physical therapy. When I complained about the price of the meds, she said well that's the best I can do. The second specialists told me that I needed physical therapy and to go to a neurologists. Maybe I haven't found the right one yet.
