Has anyone else noticed that when the sun goes down you hurt worse? I've noticed it for awhile now and wondered if it happened to anyone else. I know alot of times when your sick you run a fever more at night. I wonder if it's the moon

Members connected deeply over the shared experience of pain worsening at night and in response to weather changes, with many describing how cold temperatures, rain, humidity, and barometric pressure shifts trigger increased discomfort in both fibromyalgia and arthritis. Several members shared practical relief strategies, including topical treatments like Diclofenac (Voltaren), Salonpas spray, and Sombra warming therapy, as well as one member's life-changing success with a combination of Diclofenac and Neurontin that brought them from debilitating pain to nearly pain-free. A recurring theme was the value of tracking weather patterns to predict flare-ups, the sense of being 'solar-powered' with pain easing on sunny days, and the comfort of knowing others understand the exhausting cycle of pain that intensifies as the day goes on.

When does it show you hurt the most? For me it's before rain, cold days, when fronts, highs and lows come in, when humidity, dew point and pressure is high. And when my Dr cuts my meds in half

@A MyFibroTeam Member My pain does comes when I over do, that is for sure. It also comes at other times which I believe can be caused by the Barometric Pressure. " Density and Temperature Air mass density influences the atmospheric pressure. If the air mass is dense, the pressure is higher. If the air is not dense, the air pressure is lower. Warm air is not as dense as cool air. That is the reason why warm air goes up and cool air does not. Altitude and temperature interact, and so they affect air pressure." http://www.barometricpressure.org/ I think this pressure causes us to have pain. Feel better!

Yes. I have often told my family that I am solar powered. I do much better on sunny days. Gloomy days I can barely function....physically and mentally.

Diclofenac aka as Voltaren is available and as OTC rub. It is excellent and does give relief for me. I have also found a new product, a spray called "Salonpas Spray" which is amazing! Because of the amount of typing I do I have very painful upper arm muscles, especially in my left upper arm which was injured in a fall some years ago. Here's how I use "Salonpas Spray" on that area. I cut the foot part out of an ankle sock which had a huge hole in the heel. I spray "Salonpas Spray" on my upper arm then pull the sock up the arm. The hole in the heel of the "altered sock fits my elbow nicely. The top of the sock keeps the upper arm + "Salonpas Spray" warm. The muscles are supported and I have no pain! I do the same routine at bedtime - spray + sock = no pain in arm while in bed!

Yes pain worse going to sleep and arthritis worse early am. Was taking opioids twice a day until a new nurse practitioner gave me Diclofenac and Neurontin. Now I’m almost totally pain free. I also have trigeminal neuralgia and was hurting daily. Now I take plain Tylenol once about every 3 days for jaw pain level 3. Was a 9 and at least once daily. I’m going back to work in Tyler. TX. I FEEL CURED ABSOLUTELY no tiredness, no pain, no burning feet no restless legs minimal brain fog and I had that bad. I would hope that the administrators would add Diclofenac Potassium to the list on this site. I suffered over a year and now I’m not
