Does Anyone Else Suffer From Other Illnesses Aswell As Fibro?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have recently been diagnosed with endramitiosis (sorry for the dodgy spelling) i have the worst migrains with aruras which are triggered by changes in my body temperature cronic fatige syndrome and possibly MS just waiting on test results as my optical nerves were recently swollen. Just wondering if anyone else suffers with multiple things and how they manage it. I take medication thats meant to help everything but it really doesn't help any of it.

Oh yes, isn't it fun? I lost my thyroid after years of strange problems with it. I have bi-polar depression (in remission), osteoarthritis in my knees, hands, and left shoulder. I have spine problems. I have GI tract problems: IBS and GERD. I call them the alphabet diseases. I used to have migraines, but thankfully that ended, and I suffer from bad allergies and get allergy shots. Good luck everyone; we are not our diseases, we are all children of God.

I have 3 types of arthritis psioratic, osteo and rhuem, i have these in my feet, ankles, rhs knee, hips and lower spine, neck, lhs shoulder and elbow, both wrists and hands, nerve damage and tendonitis in both hands, chronic fatigue and multiple hormone disorders and severe sleep apnea. Its been a nightmare merry go around of pain fatigue and depression with bouts of self isolation and hopelessness. But i still get up every morning no matter how bad i feel and try to stay positive because there are others out there worse off than me.

I had endometriosis as well, my fibro was discovered while I was being treated and have 2 other cousins with both endo & fibro.

Also have osteo arthritis/bursitis, kidney disease, undiagnosed autoimmune which caused kidney disease, get migraines and hyper mobility syndrome.

From what I’ve seen I think a large majority of fibro patients have comorbid conditions

I hear you sometimes I feel like a snowball at the top of a hill and someone pushes me. As I go down everything just sticks to me and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I get really down, I wonder if it will ever end.

I have extremely loose ligament and joints and have had 14 surgerys . Still recovering from total knee replacement and a pain stimulator put in my back. Now to deal with this fibro thing....Since it's basically everywhere and pretty bad arthritis. I'm just trying to figure it out now. Right now it's ice packs and heat and trying to plan to maximize my trips down my 56 stairs to go out.
