Does anyone else experience fine hand tremors, stiffness, and/or weakness? How about shoulder girdle weakness manifested by difficulty/easy fatiguability when holding arms straight out in front of you...feels like sandbags dangling from your forearms? I have fasciculations all over my body off and on - this flares when my other symptoms do, but given this heaviness/weakness, I can't help but freak out that I might have ALS. Members reassured someone worried about hand and arm weakness, tremors, and fatigue possibly signaling ALS, with many sharing they experience identical symptoms including heavy limbs, fasciculations, clumsiness, and numbness, all while having normal test results. Several members offered practical insights, noting that these symptoms can stem from fibromyalgia, Hashimoto's thyroiditis (even with normal TSH levels), or cervical spine issues, and some found relief through neurologists and medications like Keppra for tremors. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of fearing neurodegenerative disease when symptoms overlap, met with compassionate validation that these frightening experiences are widely shared within the fibromyalgia community and often not progressive.

Omg! I have the same exact symptoms. Normal EMG,MRI, and blood work. I've been scared to death. Do your hands feel clumsey? My hands feel all over the place sometimes.

I have weakness in my arms too. Fibro causes weird symptoms so try not to worry. My legs get very heavy alot too. They feel like they are 200 lbs each. You are not alone. Hugs

@A MyFibroTeam Member I have been having some of the same issues. Stiffness/strains and muscle twitches all over my body for some months now. I haven't got a diagnosis yet for anything so its very frustrating
