Ok this is just for fun.

Does anyone else use a fitbit to try to encourage themselves to move? I really need it to go along with my weight watchers app to figure my activity points.. but it's also turning fun, like say I am 40 steps away from a major increment. I'll do a few laps in the house to get there.

If you have one, what's the funniest thing you did to get to a milestone?

Members enthusiastically shared their experiences using Fitbits and activity trackers to manage movement with fibromyalgia, with many describing playful strategies like pacing around the house or going up and down stairs repeatedly just to reach daily step goals. Several members highlighted features they found most valuable, including sleep pattern tracking (which revealed frequent awakenings and disrupted rest), heart rate monitoring for managing stress, and setting modest, flexible goals that honor what their bodies can handle on any given day. A recurring theme was the importance of self-compassion, with members emphasizing that taking rest days during flares, celebrating small victories, and gradually building activity without comparing themselves to pre-illness abilities were essential for staying motivated without adding frustration.

No i havent. It was a thought. After rethiking,,,numbers have never been a fan of mine, nor I theres. See, to do the fitbit thing, I'd only be adding more frustrastion to my life, racing against time of you will. Raising 3 boys alone was a race for this or for that reason. For me, I have to deal with the here and now. Example; the therapist asked me to come back next month. I asked why, she said; she would like to work on 3 short term goals and 1 long term goal. I said the long term is out of reach right now as I need to work on the here and now body. The body thats dicating what & when I can do something. I dont like this fibromalgia, or the fibro brain fog that comes & goes when it feels like. I want to be continuously active again.☺
