I was wanting to know if anyone has tried Ginger tea? I have seen different dr. on TV recommend ginger for so many things. I saw an info thing on TV and the drink was way expensive but since the main indegrent was ginger I thought I would try just the ginger tea without all the other stuff. I haven't tried it yet but I do have the tea.
Lol this is funny. As I read the above I am drinking turmeric tea with ginger (Trader Joe’s) I just started with this. My acupuncturist advised me and said t is great for inflammation. So I’m giving it a go. It can’t hurt. Good luck!
@A MyFibroTeam Member, you may find a form of turmeric more to your liking: research Curamed which is the essential oil of circumin. It is easy on the stomach, anti-inflammatory, and much more potent than turmeric root powder. The same company makes Curamin, with added extract of boswellia, specifically for pain. Both can be found at Amazon and are rather pricey.
I take turmeric with black pepper extract, the black pepper extract is important for absorption, in capsule form three times a day. I take 1000 mg. It's the only anti inflammatory I can take, as I can't take oral NSAIDS due to my stomach. There are times I think a capsule has leaked in the bottle, though, because I'll get wicked heartburn after taking them. lol 🐧
@A MyFibroTeam Member...I have just ordered the Essential Oil 'Black Pepper', as it was one of the oils listed to be good for the muscle pain of Fibromyalgia. I have a very, very sore leg from an injury that is in constant pain. I have already tried and love the Essential Oils,, (Frankincense, and a diluted form of Helicrhysum oil, as the Helicrhysum by itself is way too expensive for me.) But I can not wait to try this Black Pepper Oil when I get it. I will mix it in the palm of my hand with a carrier oil...(I use Grape-seed Oil as a carrier), and after a warm shower, will do my own massage for several minutes until my hands get too sore. I will keep you posted about how the Black Pepper Oil works when I get it. (I also have to 'watch' and research which oils are not toxic to Cats. (Cats can be very sensitive to certain oils), (so I do not even get the ones that are said to be toxic to Cats, as I could not imagine losing one of my Fur-babies). The Black Pepper Oil is not toxic to Cats....(I am not going to put it on my Cats or anything, I don't need something else to worry about.) Yes, the Black Pepper oil is said to be one of the best oils for Fibro muscle pain...I will test it. Very excited to try it.
Yes, I buy the bags or make it myself. It helps me with my tummy issues and probably inflammation levels. I like the taste...it's a bit spicy.
