Hi, Kaye. I used a prescription Dicoflenac cream everywhere it hurts before. I also used to get my hands into Paraffin wax at the physiotherapy. Then I bought my own. They have it at Walmart & Amazon. I takes awhile for the paraffin wax to melt. Then you dip your hand in when the temperature is ok for you. Let the wax mold it's shape then wrap your hand in towels to keep the heat in. Do one hand at a time. It helps .

I tend to use Voltarol on random pains but especially hands and fingers - my thumbs for instance. It also comes in patches: The Voltarol gel/plaster range of products, which are available over the counter in the UK, contain a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) called diclofenac.

Hi, I put my hands into a bowl of hot water with a handful of Epsom salts, for five-ten minutes, then dry with a warm towel and then into compression gloves. Effects last me a few hours. I'll send a link to website where I got mine when I find it (from Amazon) ☺
