I, too, am on flexeril right now. I take it right before I go to sleep and it does help some.

I take zanaflex at night, it does help to rest some.

My doctor has prescribed Flexeril to be used for treatment of very painful sciatica muscle pain. I was only prescribed enough medication for seven days and it was finally effective on the sixth day of use. I have been prescribed Gabapentin. I thought it was prescribed for relief of the "tingling" I felt in my fingertips and toes which was the reason I had the doctor appointment.

I was prescribed 10 mg of Flexaril 2x a day. I take 1/2 or 5 mg of flexaril before I go to bed.

Any more than that makes me too sleepy.

Tizanidine 4mg. I took 3 times a day for a year and a half. Is very mild. Now I take baclofen 20 mg 2 tines a day.
