Although most people are prescribed medication to help with Fibro, what painkillers (if any) do you take alongside when needed?
I am prescribed Cymbalta but also take Zapain and Ibruprofen when needed a few times daily.
Is anyone else taking these or similar meds?
Thanks :)

Its so worrying ain't it and i don't think there is anything (benefits) that can be claimed is there? Its ridiculous that with all the problems that come with this illness, it isnt classed as a disability!
Thanks, @A MyFibroTeam Member i am the same, addicted to Zapain, i take 3 at a time as they don't touch me otherwise, i have taken them for so long due to Migraines and other health problems. Also i am taking Topiramate 200mg daily and Sumatriptan as and when needed. Amitriptaline didn't agree with me, it made me very depressed. I also find if i don't take medication i would never go to work, which i need to do for financial reasons and also for sanity reasons. I think with this condition, you have to keep going for as long as you can, or a least try to, don't you x
I take Zapain (co-codamol 30/500mg) regularly alongside 40 mg amitriptaline and topirimate so I can function and work to pay the bills. I can't take nurofen regularly as I'm asthmatic and it makes my asthma worse, and I can't take much more amitriptaline as it dries my mouth up so much that I can't talk properly and I need to be able to talk as I work in a cafe/Deli and need to be able to serve customers. I'm very aware that I'm probably addicted to the cocodamol by now but I can't see a way around it as I can't function with pounding headaches or bad back pain
It has has succes in some Fibro/ CF cases.. but you have to use it w/ tge MDs permission! They put you on a Pain Meds Contract. If you take anything!! You can be fired by the MD & labeled an abuser!! CBD Oil has been shown to help w/ pain & insomnia!!
Cannabis helps with the pain and it's natural
