Is anybody else losing there hair? My hair is falling out so bad. Im constantly picking hair off of me all day. I wake up with hair all over me and my bed and when I brush or comb it, it comes out in hand fulls. I had long hair and cute off 10" hoping that would help but it didn't. I've told my doctors and they just say its not my medication and don't seem to be to concerned.

Members rallied around someone experiencing severe hair loss, sharing that while doctors often dismiss it as a minor fibromyalgia symptom, it can signal underlying issues like thyroid disorders, vitamin deficiencies (especially iron, B, and D), or medication side effects worth investigating. Several members offered practical remedies that worked for them, including biotin supplements (often at 10,000 units daily), apple cider vinegar rinses, evening primrose oil, collagen, Nioxin shampoo, coconut or olive oil scalp massages, and avoiding sulfur and gluten in their diets. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of losing hair as a woman and the importance of advocating for proper thyroid and nutritional testing, with many members finding relief once deficiencies were corrected or natural supplements were added to their routine.

I pour the ACV on my scalp right after I shampoo and let it set for a minute, then rinse. It helps balance your scalps ph levels and also gives you good nourishment for your hair to grow. I also drink it internally as well. It helps with my skin complaints as well. :)

Just adding my 2 cents because I once developed quite a large bald spot on my head and I had been having weird thyroid problems for years - sometimes deficient, once I had a cyst, another time my thyroid became ragged and torn in an MRI scan, then I finally grew this huge goiter and had to have the whole thing out 3 1/2 yrs ago. Now I'm on hormone therapy and put no more chemicals in my hair, and it all grew back. The hair, not the goiter. I'm sure you'll find your answer. It sounds like you've been through a lot.⛅

I started losing my hair it was very thin but at the time I was going to a dr in Wichita that was giving me hormones it was an all natural dr. I researched if testosterone could cause hair loss it said yes but the nurse practitioner said she had never heard of it doing that but I quit taking it! I have really worked hard on getting my hair to come back in! It’s a ton better but still thin spots up towards the front and sides I started taking vitamins for hair and nails I take them everyday! I also used nioxin shampoo and conditioner and it’s getting better!

I massage coconut or olive oil into my scalp, wrap a warm damp from the nuke towel around head, feels so good, then wash it out gently not using anything harsh or too hot water. I use African Black Soap from head to toes and my skin and hair are so much better. So is psoriasis. I prefer the liquid to the bar. Hard to hold. I mix lemon juice and white vinegar with my favorite conditionER as well. No residue, no film, just clean shiny hair. I also take collagen every day with protein and hair lose has lessened greatly.
