Newly Diagnosed
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

After numerous normal blood tests and a long long road of not giving up because i knew something was not right w my body. My pcp diagnosed me w fibromyalgia. He wants me off all meds until I see a rheumatologist. To have a clean system besides 2 being klonopon for anxiety/sleep/restless leg and adderall for ADHD but helps with the chronic fatigue. I was on Prozac and tried cymbalta (hated it) I plan to go back on Prozac after rheumatologist visit
My question is
WHAT MEDS ARE YOU ALL ON TO… read more

I unfortunately am one of those that have been on Morphine and percocets that only take my pain from a 9 pain level to a 5. yes they dropped my pain by 4 but the side effects are terrible. i want off them. so What does my doctor think, "we can put you on Fentanyl patches but that's all we have left to try....really you want to take me off dangerous addictive opiates to place me on something deadly and even more addictive? what sense does this make? So I asked him how about medical marijuana? "There has not been enough research in it helping" was his exact quote. really back up 80 years ago and it was used with great success for treating pain, insomnia, cancer but not enough research I call Bs. Big Pharma pays the doctors not to prescribe it That is the only reason I can think of. I don't want to smoke it i want the oil to place under the tongue. So in the mean time I have found the perfect oil it is from the hemp plant and is full spectrum with over 120 cannabidiols and it has managed to make me pain free something the doctor won't do. it is legal in all 50 states and over 120 countries world wide. Plus since there is no THc , there is no high, it is considered a food supplement. There are so many customer testimonials that i have read that this is where i placed my trust and it helps me and so many others. my hands are no longer stiff in the mornings unless i forget to take a dose. my dose is 5 drops under the tongue 4 times a day. is that to much to do to be pain free? No, No it is not.l i love being able to sweep, and mop my entire two story house in one day then go up and down stairs to the basement to do laundry all on the same day as sweeping and moping. I have so much energy that i am at a loss what to do daily ones the floors and laundry is done.. these three things would take up my week then i have grocery shopping witch had to be done on a day all by its self. now i can do it and still sweep and op and do laundry.

I am loving life again.

I also wanted to add, you must keep moving. The fibromyalgia gets worse if you stop. Walking, swimming, whatever. Keep moving.

@A MyFibroTeam Member my pain management dr targets the areas that hurt thr most, for me thats my upper back, neck, down the sides, my clavical and down the center of my chest. Lidocaine essentially numbs it. Its not a permanent fix unfortunately but it makes it so i can function. He targets muscles to try and give them to to relax. I get probably 20-30 injections every 6 weeks. I can grt it where im completely pain free in those areas for a few weeks and it slowly wears off or it will dull the pain but lasts almost the whole 6 weeks. Its not the best as far as i look like a pincushion after and its not always perfect but even if i can just get a minor sense of temporary relief i go for it. I dont like heavy pain meds as i have kids and like to not let my head be fuzzy so the lidocaine works.
