Members warmly welcomed someone newly diagnosed with fibromyalgia, confirming that their symptoms including stabbing shoulder blade pain, brain fog, light and sound sensitivity, poor sleep, and widespread aching are very common experiences within the community. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them manage symptoms, including amitriptyline for sleep, heat and ice therapy, gentle walking and stretching, steroid injections for targeted pain, muscle creams, and adjusting diet by reducing carbs and increasing protein. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding what works, the importance of pacing oneself to avoid post-exertion crashes, and the relief of finally having answers and a supportive community that truly understands.

Hi! I have fatigue, shoulder, neck pain, migraines, muscle weakness, brain fog and very sensitive to sounds and light. Pain can be achey and/or stabbing. What you are experiencing sounds very fibrolike to me! Hugs!

Hi Jamie!😄 i tell you it's all trial and error. I have some of your symptoms. We are all different with the fibro. A lot of us do share the same problems. I've had it over 25 yrs. I've tried all kinds of meds. I discovered narcotics are not good. They intensify the pain because the nerves are already sensitive. He and ice or muscle cream works for me. Walking 30mins to an hour is good. Stretching when i wake up and go to bed. Hot baths. Certain foods and diet. Carbs make me hurt. Protein is good. There are a lot of remedies. Test them and try again. Keep asking questions we are here for you!💜God bless😇

Oh, and of course the fatigue. Sometimes I feel I have more energy than I have and do more than I should and then ache and am completely exhausted.

Hi Jaime, I’m new to this too and recently got a FM diagnosis but it helped explain a lot of stuff that I never understood before.
All of the things you have listed I too have/do have. The ache under my shoulder blade at the moment is intense as is my armpit/boob. Restless leg syndrome, night sweats, difficulty sleeping , frequent urination, sensitivity to noise and light, teeth grinding, IBS - just a few.
It’s nice to be among people that can identify and help.
Take care 😊
