I have 3 herniated discs and 2 buldging discs in my low back so i do have severe back pain. My hips hurt really bad especially at night. I get woken up from the pain. It probably is arthritis or fibro. Who knows but it hurts. My hips quit hurting once i get up and move but seem to hurt every night. Have you had a mri to see if you have any disc problems? If not, it would be a good idea. I hope you start feeling better soon.

I had it for a year with weakness and sciatic pain in my left hip and leg and had to rule out all sorts of things (neuromuscular things, arthritis flares, Lyme's, vitamin deficiencies and spinal issues). Mine turned out to be a little know muscle, the piriformis (runners have problems with it, and believe me, I am not a runner!) was pulled, and chronically inflammed. PT has been the biggest help to me. Moral of this story is rule out the big things, but don't forget the little ones, in the end.

Yes I do, and massage therapy works great for me. Hurts like bejeebies when it is happening, but definitely better after.

I have had lower back pain for years, generating into the legs. I finally had a spinal fusion, which allowed me to sit in a car, but the pain did not go away. I finally had a pain stimulater implanted so I could get off pain meds which gave me some quality of life. The fibro pain is still there, but the stimulater gets my mind off it.
