Had someone say to me I should go gluten free also sugar but I have some days I hardly have any and don't really notice a difference. I am trying to eat better with more fruit n vege so most gluten is one weetbix in morning. Sure I may come in contact with some gluten in other products during day but it won't be much. Surely u would see a difference by reducing ?

@A MyFibroTeam Member Hi, it's Viv. I also had the same thought as you before. Here's a list that I got from a Fibromyalgia group meet I went to before :
1). Gluten - wheat flour, oats, barley, rye
2). White Foods - white flour, white sugar, white
starches like white potatoes, white fat on
meat, white refined salt
3). Night Shade Veggies - tomatoes, eggplants,
potatoes, all colors of sweet peppers
4). Aspartame - artificial sweeteners
5). Sugary Foods - doughnuts, pastries, cookies
bread, crackers, POP, sugary drinks, energy
drinks, sugary fruit drinks
6). Yeast Products
7). MSG
8). Processed Meat - can goods, preservatives
9). All Fried Foods - trans fat
10). Alcohol
11). Dairy Products
12). Caffeine
13). Starchy carbohydrates - pizza, potatoes
You see, you could have eaten a wee bit of gluten that day, but you might have eaten something else that caused your flare/muscle spasm. Try to eliminate what cause more pain.
Some people are ok with some on this list like dairy but not all dairy products. So if I get a flare, then I eliminate that brand of dairy product. You have to make a list & then eliminate. Hope this will help you. Take care, my friend.
I’ve tried gluten-free. No difference, zip. Guess some can benefit, some not.
Sending careful 🤗
I have tried all different kinds of eating patterns and none of them have made any difference.
@A MyFibroTeam Member, all I did was take out processed foods and greasy stuff.
So how do u find out what sets u off? I can't see the point cutting everything out of it isn't doing harm. Plus I don't have that big a budget
