Members shared mixed experiences when discussing whether weighted blankets help with fibromyalgia, anxiety, and sensory issues, with several finding relief through the calming, swaddling effect of added weight on their bodies. Many community members described practical approaches, including using multiple regular blankets to create weight, tucking themselves in tightly for similar benefits, and noting that weighted blankets helped ease both pain and sensory overload. A recurring theme was that fibromyalgia affects everyone differently, with some finding any weight unbearable due to heightened sensitivity while others found the pressure deeply soothing and essential for restful sleep.

I believe they are called "gravity blankets" - they are supposed to surround the body with a even weight which soothes the nervous system- like being swaddled. I know from my own experience, I need to have a certain weight on me in order to rest well. Look them up on YouTube or amazon. Ok?
