@A MyFibroTeam Member - They tell me you should not wear makeup, tie your hair back if it is long enough, don't get really dressed. Wear jeans and a shirt. You are supposed to look sick - not like you're ready to go on a date. I guess appearance makes a big difference. Some also say you should get a lawyer. Your chances are greater with a lawyer.

Wear comfortable clothing and tell them the absolute truth about your daily pain and limitations, I also had a lawyer with me, but that was in the 1990's when it seemed a lot harder to get help, my lawyer was surprised that I got disability, I was very honest, and the pain of my life that I loved stopping at that time made me cry, show them how much this is destroying your life. Do not minimalize your situation... best of luck to you I hope this helps and gentle hugs to you.
I was definitively diagnosed w/FMS & ME/CFS or CFIDS in the late 80's. Because of my long medical history - going back to early childhood, their conclusion was that I've had these 2 illnesses since the age of five. I received my S.S.D.I. in 2000.
Thank you @A MyFibroTeam Member! I'm very surprised you got disability back in 1990! In 1997 nobody knew what fibro was, or it was thought to be a mental illness, almost. Gentle Hugs back. None of us should have to live like this...
