Members responding to questions about supplements for fibromyalgia pain and energy overwhelmingly recommended vitamin D, vitamin B12, and magnesium as foundational options, with many noting these address common deficiencies in people with fibro and should be discussed with a doctor before starting. Several members shared additional supplements that have personally helped them manage inflammation and regain mobility, including CoQ10, turmeric, omega-3, alpha lipoic acid, 5-HTP for mood and anxiety, and melatonin for sleep, with one member crediting their supplement routine for going from homebound to active again. A recurring theme was the importance of finding quality sources, trying different combinations to see what works for your individual body, and considering topical options like Epsom salt baths or magnesium spray for those who prefer to limit what they ingest.

Vitamin D
Vitamin B12
Magnesium

Are all suppose to be helpful to various degrees to various people. Since many with fibro have issues with those vitamins and minerals if ones docs agree it wouldn't hurt to try try them out.

Ive taken magnesium to help with leg pain at night (like using magnesium based soap to prevent restless legs).

I take co q 10, turmeric, garlic, oil of oregano, l glutamine and alpha lipoic acid. Most of them are for inflamation. I was pretty much home bound 6 years ago. I started taking them and now i am able to get out most days. I order them from puritans pride. They are good quality and good prices. I hope this helps.
