Members widely confirmed experiencing intense headaches that cause nausea, with many describing them as migraines or cluster headaches often accompanied by throbbing ear pain, sensitivity to light, noise, and strong smells, and facial or eye pain. Several members shared helpful strategies, including using Sumatriptan (which one member praised for stopping pain within an hour), lying in a dark quiet room, and taking Alka-Seltzer for nausea, though some noted frustration with insurance limitations and finding medications that work. A recurring theme was the debilitating nature of these headaches, with members describing symptoms lasting days or weeks, frequent vomiting, and the struggle to find effective relief while managing multiple triggers.

Also have that sharp piercing ear pain, my pcp thinks it’s from my Eustachian tubes. The pain only happens at night and nothing helps. I just gray my ear and wait for the pain to end. Can’t tolerate loud music, cold weather, bright light, and hypersensitive smell.

A migraine-like pain forms at the base of my skull and neck and goes up AND down. This starts when I first wake up.It can last all day with no relief from any med I currently take, except for Sumatriptan! This medication stops the horrible pain 1 hour later. It is considered a preventive. So far I can only get 9 pills a month and then a refill of 9. It can raise blood pressure but my blood pressure was good yesterday and before. The problem is the frequency at which I am receiving these headaches which has gone up. I had 4 in a row one week. I am attempting to get my Medicare Part D to okay 20 a month. I would recommend this medicine. The best to you!!
