Members shared their experiences with doxepin cream after someone asked about their new prescription, with many explaining it is prescribed for neuropathic nerve pain, pinched nerves, and fibromyalgia tender points. Several members reported that the cream provided some relief for lower back, hip, and neck pain, though a few expressed concerns about potential interactions with other medications like antidepressants and gabapentin, or worried about absorption through the skin. A recurring theme was cautious optimism, with members encouraging the original poster to try it carefully, follow dosage instructions, consult with their pharmacist or doctor about drug interactions, and report back to the community about whether it helps.

I have not heard if this cream but know that Doxepin is an anti-depressant. Even though it is not in pill form it does not mean that it is not ingested by the body - our skin is the largest organ in our bodies and if you apply a drug topically, you need to be aware of this.

It's prescribed for neuropathic nerve pain. It was prescribed to me for my back. It helps relieve pinched nerve pain.

I haven't heard of this, but I'd rather try a cream then swallowing so many pills. I'm sorry to hear that you have had additional pain on top of everything else. I hope it will be helpful for you, and please let us know what you think of it. Thank you 🌸
