Does Anyone Know If You Have To Wait Until Short Term Disability To End Before You Can Start A Claim For Long Term?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I stopped working on Aug 1 and still have not been approved for short term disability through my employer. If I'm approved (fingers crossed!) and paid, I'd rather not have a huge gap between payments during the transition from short to long term.

With your Employer, moving from Short to King Term Disabilityshould not he a Problem, other than the umpteen Faxes they may need.
Much better than State Disability; plus, your Employer's disability plan may end up giving you a FinalSettlement that you can put towards an Annuity, with interest, to get Monthly pmts rather than wasting a lot of YOUR money trying to "cash in".
You don't need an Attorney. Just a goodAnnuiry Pro who can help you.
