Members shared their experiences with feeling sick, lightheaded, or exhausted during and after bathing, identifying it as a common challenge with fibromyalgia that worsens from physical exertion, temperature changes, and chemical sensitivities. Several members described practical adaptations they've made, including switching to natural or hypoallergenic products like Dove or Pearl soap, showering less frequently to avoid chemical exposure, and sometimes relying on washdowns when getting in the tub becomes impossible. A recurring theme was the connection between fatigue, nausea, and cold sensitivity in fibromyalgia, with some members finding relief through essential oils and being mindful of product ingredients that can trigger symptoms.

I feel light headed and take flushes when using the bath. Feel more sick when using the shower but think it's to do with the physicàl movement in the shower

@A MyFibroTeam Member We have lots of nerves in our stomach and guts plus IBS is a common ailment for people with FM. Ive suffered with that devil for 28 Years! Sometimes just a certain smell can make me nauseated or give me an instant headache. That is one of the reasons I started using essential oils. The other reason was yhat the drugs prescribed dont work. Aroma therapy has a lot of benefits to aid every part of our body. You might want to research it to see if its something you want to try.

Nausea & vomiting are a common symptom with Fibromyalgia. Any time I get worn out/severe fatigue or too cold the nausea kicks in.
