Does a y body get burning pain in the chest and upper body ribs also

Costrochrondritis (sp) is an inflammation of the connective tissue between the ribs...awful pain. Please let your primary doctor know this.

@A MyFibroTeam Member   I'm with you.  When I have a flare it starts in the chest making me think I'm having heart isuues. But, I'm not.  I take my blood pressure every day and have talked to the doctor about this very thing.  It's beggar fibro making itself "known".  One of the gentlemen on this site also has the same problem.  It does have a name (cost. -------) I just can't remember what it is so call it "Beggar-Fibro".

i do. Before I got diagnosed they thought it was pleurisy. But just ended up being from the weather change. I'm currently experiencing it right now. I feel like it stays there for a few days and once it hits my stomach the flare is over after that

@A MyFibroTeam Member you're thinking of costcochondritis (sp) it's inflammation of the cartilage of the ribs where they connect to the chest bone. I get this a few times a year. Usually it only lasts for a couple days but this last time it lasted almost two weeks. That was for the pain to go away completely.  It starts with general chest pain like anxiety or heat attack type pain then it turns to feel like a bad bruise with burning in one spot near my breast then the pain gets to about the size of my palm. After a few days i start feeling it in my back directly behind they pain in the front. It does fade. But for me it's so worrisome and painful it causes more anxiety even though i know what it is.

Yea get this a lot like in lungs sometimes in chest too like a awful burning hope you feel better soon❤️

Yes sometimes , doesn't last very long  for me , but comes and goes
