Members connected over the frightening experience of tingling in the hands and face, with many sharing that their doctors attributed these sensations to fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, or nerve pain rather than something more serious. Several members found relief through medications like Gabapentin and Cymbalta, keeping affected areas cool with cold water, and keeping detailed symptom diaries to share with their healthcare providers. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of waking up each day to a new symptom, the fear of feeling like you're going mad, and the comfort of knowing others understand the constant cycle of managing one issue only to have another emerge.

Hi Sherri! Could it be a side effect from one of your meds? Gabapentin makes my short term memory horrible. I would start with that list first. (((hugs)))

I've almost become use to strange feelings and pain hanging out a while in crazy places. I'm sure, if I could empty my head of a days thoughts, I would have a million question marks.

Does anyone else think about strange, totally off subject conversations in your head, while doing something that you would never mention that brief strange thought to anyone? I truly worry about my sanity and why or what made me think that Thought? 😯

Schizophrenia runs in my mom's side of the family, I had a neurologist check me out because I was having moments at work, in front of patients, where I would completely forget what I was doing😕
I've had this happen but not as much as I was. I had an EEG and MRI'S of my brain and neck too. Nothing showed up.
I'm really concerned.

So, with all of that said, I'm going to start getting ready to go to sleep.
I welcome any and all comments and any other behaviors like this to be shared.

I'm really a very person once you get past my black outs, my off subject comments and plain old fibromyalgia fogs while working a sensitive and personal job where the HIPAA law is strictly respected.
Did I mention that I am an empath too?
Talk about sensory overload!

I had tingling all over my entire body. Had a neurology work up. Tried several different medications. cymbalta 30 mg twice a day has worked for me. Only feel it once in a great while and it's very mild.

The person doesn't mention pain, just tingling. It could be a medication allergy, best to get it checked. Could be a food allergy.
