Can't Bare To Wear My Glasses
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else who wears glasses find that they can't bare the feel of them behind your ears sometimes? I've had them for months, maybe over a year, they've not been adjusted recently, and yet all of a sudden yesterday and today they're pressing against something painful behind the top and middle part behind my ears. My glands under my ears and jaw are always swollen but are there any glands where the arms of your glasses sit? It's hurting so much. I'm blind as a bat without them and contacts… read more

I had that problem really bad with my first flare about 6 years ago. It could be a tender point. It lasted quite a while. I get that at times now not too often but I will get it. I've worn same glasses for years so don't think it's glasses. It could be lymph node that swell and pressure on it makes it hurt.

I get that occasionally, I usually try to rest them on some hair instead of directly on my ear

I think it might be an anxiety headache. It feels like a tight band round my head x

I am the same only with sunglasses
The pain and pressure where the arms sit is sometimes unbearable
Is it maybe something worth chatting to your doctor about as far as the lymph nodes are concerned
Sorry I'm still new to this and still learning so much about fibro although I've known for years before being diagnosed I've never really learnt about it until now
I hope you get some relief 🌹

Thanks everyone, my glands are very swollen as usual and I came over very nauseous and dizzy soon after I posted. Feels like my ears are making me very off balance. Just woken from a nap xx
