Took me 10 years and 2 lawyers before I got approved. Just keep appealing and reapplying. Find a good lawyer, that is the quickest answer...and document everything you used to be able to do that you can no longer do because of your fibro and anything else that you have...migraines, arthritis, whatever. The fact that you are unable to do the things that you used to do, shows disability. Sometimes you have to draw a picture for them to understand. Document every doctor's appointment, physical therapy, home visits, medications, everything. The more information the lawyer has, the easier it is to get approved. Find a lawyer that specializes in disability cases....my first lawyer I hired didn't usually do disability cases, and we lost in court. Second lawyer specialized in disability cases and I got approved in 5 months.

I am in San Antonio. I submitted three times and was denied. The next process you have to find an attorney. SS gives you a list. The attorneys do not get paid unless you win. I started the process in NE, then moved to TX. Found an attorney here but felt in the beginning they did not offer much support. I had to eventually go infront of a judge. Was not given much support. I had all the forms, cover letter and documents from doc visits. Nothing seem to be enough. Do I start again since the appeal came back denied?

I don't know where you are located, but I used Premier Disability Services, LLC in the US. They work nationwide, so it does not matter where you are in the US. I never had to attend any meetings or court dates at all, everything with them was done over the phone or by email or fax. They have a whole department of paralegals and associate attorneys that take care of everything for you. I didn't have to do anything other than fill out the application, and provide the details of my doctors information, and instances of doctor visits as well as hospitalizations. Pretty much the same information as is required on the application, however, they had me sign permissions so they could contact all the doctors and hospitals on my behalf and they requested all the records from everyone, then they submitted the whole thing to Social Security at once and I was approved. The paralegal working with me said that the first time I got denied, social security had only received about half of the records that were requested initially, so that is why I got denied, because social security never received the documentation for the things I put in the application. If they can't document everything that is on the application, it is denied. These lawyers make sure they have everything documented in the application, and that combined with my personal letter stating how my illness had affected my ability to work got me approved straight away. I don't know if I am allowed to recommend attorneys in this forum, but you can find them online at https://premierdisability.com/?source=Google&am...(Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators)&utm_term=premier%20disability&matchtype=p&device=c&src=adduco&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0K7NBRC7ARIsAEaqLRHIyHSA3XU1PuZa-m6Y6FItD1F12PvmoI0JsWPzm4d8JPfGZe6SZ78aAs7mEALw_wcB

Were you refused disability? I fought for 5-6yrs and lost. I believe the judge did not understand fibro and the progressiveness of it.

I'd seek another attorney!! I was lucky that a friend referred me to someone. I've been waiting almost a year for my appeal and try not to think what might happen. My attorney did say from the beginning that if it's denied again, she'd file again.
