So I have had a lot of balance issues over the last few weeks and it is starting to scare me how do you cope with it?
Yes I frequently find that it am off balance and look like a drunk. I usually have a walking stick with me and have now bought a stroller to hang onto if I feel too much off balance. It also has a seat which is handy on a day when I feel tired before I set off to go somewhere. At least I can sit down when necessary without having to find a seat.
@A MyFibroTeam Member thanks for your input it is very much appreciated x
Sincerely Gail
Yes I'm always bumping into walls or losing my balance when I walk. I've seen an ENT and it's not my ears. I suffer with migraines and the vertigo increases when a flare is on it's way. I take meclizine.
I lose my balance if I walk on uneven grounds, especially outside. I have to be careful. When I'm tired it's worse. I always hold on to a railing going up or down stairs. Also, if I start walking too fast or change direction quickly I will stumble abit too. Like you said, sometime looks like a drunk. Been told it's part of fibro.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I used to go to physio but often found by the time I got there I was in that much pain the physio I had touched very little and by the time I got home I was in just as much pain with my hips and back as walking or sitting on a bus aggravated it my spondylitis and lax hips
