Members shared widespread experiences with unexplained bruising in fibromyalgia, with many describing bruises appearing suddenly on legs, arms, and torso without memory of an injury, sometimes leading doctors or family to ask concerned questions about their origin. Several members pointed to practical factors including anemia or iron deficiency, blood thinners, NSAIDs like Excedrin, and medications such as omeprazole, with some recommending bloodwork to rule out deficiencies that could worsen bruising. A recurring theme was that fibromyalgia seems to make the body more fragile and sensitive, causing easy bruising from minor bumps or even gentle hugs, slower healing, and a frustrating disconnect between the severity of the bruise and the ability to recall what caused it.

I get bruises every day , when I went to the hospital for a discolated shoulder I heard the nurse say look at her she is covered with bruises . I'm sure people think my husband beats me up.I often walk into the door jarms instead off through the middle, and it actually hurts and bruises, but I also get loads off unexplained ones, I think it is just one off those things of fibromyalgia. Well take care hun and I will pray for you.

I find them all the time. Thought my animals were beating me up in my sleep. Turns out my doc says it's the Fibromyalgia.

I've had that happen. My Dr thought someone grabbed my arm they were that bad. I have no clue how I got them. The only ones I remember are the ones that really hurt! Gentle hugs
