HEY ME TOO! I had to take the wire out $$, because I'm short waisted.
My jeans ride forwards because of that and my hips tilted.
I get costocondritis often and I was warned it will happen even more since chest was cracked.
Scares the stuffing out of me as I'm thinking HEART!!! No, but it does take time to heal. Be careful on moving too much torso, however, do not shallow breathe as you can develop lung problems. I know it hurts to take a deep breath, but at least slow medium ones. You do not want fluid in your lungs believe me.
Hang on, every day that passes, every breath that you win thru is a victory and one more step closer to when it will end.πŸ’œ

I definitely get it too. It's supposedly common with fibro. Advil usually takes the edge off for me, as well as heat. It's one of the most uncomfortable kinds of pain. Hang in there!

Always very wise to rule out cardio, which I did. I had one of these attack a few weeks before I was told I was going to have a triple bypass. It runs heavy in my family. But I was told that the pain that took me to cardio was fibro related and that after the bypass they would increase. and they have. every time I think it's my heart, but it's not. Fibro causes many different pains in many different areas, but this one terrifies me. The difference is that if it is centered in your sternum and involves ribs so that you must shallow breathe, it's fibro. That is from my cardio so I'd know when it's heart or fibro. My bypass was now 2 years ago and when those things hit, I fall against whatever is about. I hug myself and breathe shallow so ribs don't expand must. Costocondritis. Sometimes I think the after bypass pain was nothing to this. I'm given muscle relaxant and anxiety meds, but otherwise I just have to ride it out while it heals. can be a month or more depending if I lift or twist. but I've learned when it happens, be as still as I can and do not lift my arms above my chest. Now ehen I hug, my friends know what's happening and are helpful. BUT boy do I completely understand your pain. Always get things ruled out, but you'll learn the difference in pains. Rest, be as still chest wise as you can, try to relax your body, and remember that it Will lessen as the chondritis heals. Hold on, you are not alone in this.πŸ’œ
