Okay my Florida people, has any of you filed for Disability and if so how was your experience ??? We're you approved or denied??? and how long did it take ??? Please help. Thank you.
Thanks mca.
Is SS Disability the same as SS collected at retirement age? Does it come from a retirement account or a Federal Account? My retirement SS is so little. Many years ago, I called lawyers to see if I could receive SS Disability and I was told I had too little in my account.
P.S. SS Disability is provided by the federal government so your response from them should not be specific to the state you live in.
I was denied Social Security disability (nothing to do with age) the first time I applied, which is their standard response. I then used an attorney who is paid only if disability is approved. I believe that is the only way to be approved. They usually advertise as specializing in obtaining SS disability payments.
Sorry to hear, I wish you the best of luck getting the Disability approved, if they really understood that Fibro is debilitating they should approve those ones that can no longer work. I am not saying approve everyone just because they have Fibro but the ones that have all the complications and not able to function as we use too. I was diagnosed in 2011, didn't start tx until I believe 2015, and it has just progressively gotten worse to the point I can't work anymore.
