Members responded to a question about conditions that share symptoms with fibromyalgia by identifying several autoimmune diseases and chronic conditions, with lupus and multiple sclerosis being the most frequently mentioned, along with chronic fatigue syndrome, Lyme disease, Epstein-Barr, scleroderma, and Raynaud's phenomenon. Several members shared that the overlap in symptoms makes diagnosis challenging, with some knowing people initially diagnosed with fibromyalgia who were later rediagnosed with lupus years later, and noted that doctors often run multiple tests to distinguish between these conditions. A recurring theme was the complexity of autoimmune diseases and the importance of thorough medical evaluation, with practical advice offered including stress management, quality sleep, avoiding processed foods, gentle exercise within personal limits, and maintaining hobbies that can be done both in and out of bed.

As far as fibro, avoid stressful situations at all costs. Sleep as best u can, cut out all processed foods, exercise as often as possible but take extreme caution, know your limits. As overdoing just a it's bitsy tiny bit could, does me, land u in bed for days.

Keep.a arsenal of hobbies that can be done from, and out of, bed, and develop new ones which incorporate physical activity. Remember to laugh.

There's a lot of autoimmune that mimick fibro. Lyme's disease, and with the CFS, there's other ailments, such as Epstein Barr..
Clearly having fibro is a very tough road.
