Increased Pain After Meds Anyone?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

does this happen to any of you? Whenever i take pain meds or gabapentine or smoke weed or even when given I.V. morphine at the E.R. the pain intensifies! before it gets better. The I.V. route of administration is quickly over but when it enters the bloodstream and goes to those areas of pain..wow it really hurts but then improves quickly. The other medicines intensify too but take longer before pain improves. What about you?

I've never had medical marijuana. And only once did I have I.V. morphine, but when I did (which was for a migraine), the opiate going into my veins was excruciating before I nearly passed out from the drug there in the ER. A few hours later I woke up feeling a little too good. A friend came to pick me up, but I insisted on driving myself home. She was worried I wouldn't make it, so insisted we stop somewhere for dinner, then followed me back to my apartment. Then I passed out again on my bed. I never want that experience again unless a limb is being dismembered or something (sorry to be gory).
Any, welcome to the site, Rose. You'll find a lot of support here. And we are all unique, like me, lol.
