This week I had a cold and though maybe I slept wrong (the times I could sleep). But that's definitely not the case, I'm so stiff I can't move AT ALL! I can't turn my neck in either direction and nothing is helping it. I've tried a hot tub to relax but the pain is just way to intense. Anyone else have this?

Sounds bad, can you get referred for some physical therapy? There is a very gentle therapy call strain and counterstrain that can really help when you are stuck..there is also a book called the trigger point handbook.from which you can learn to release areas that are so tight yourself...
Have you tried alternating heat and cold? At times when i cannot get to therapy ..a good topical pain reliever can really help
Hope you feel better very soon
Yes every day. I am going to physical therapy to learn how to stretch my neck and shoulders plus my back. I am going back to water aerobics for fibro here at the community center. I have had this area hurt since diagnosis in 99. It will not relax. It doesn't help that I put all my stress there either. So such is life with fibro
Yes I've had this. I use a heated rice bag on pain in neck, shoulders & lower back. For many yrs I went to a chiropractor but can no longer take the pushing & jerking my body. Massage helps more than anything for my pain but need someone who is gentle or it will make things worse.
As a virus, a cold will affect your body.. it should get better as the virus leaves, try using antiinflammatory or heat creams, and get some physio, or massage once you are over the cold.
