I have searing pain in my shoulders and clavicle area. I have week arms and need to strengthen them. Does anyone suffer from this and can anyone share good muscle strengthening exercises for arms?

Members responded to a question about arm strengthening exercises for shoulder and clavicle pain with a variety of practical suggestions, including seated weight lifting, water exercises, hot tub therapy, stand-up push-ups against a kitchen counter, and using Epsom salt baths immediately after exercising to prevent flares. Several members cautioned about the importance of getting proper medical imaging, sharing personal experiences with misdiagnosed shoulder issues that turned out to be frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, tendonitis, or joint problems requiring surgical intervention. A recurring theme was the need to listen to your body, start slowly, exercise during your best time of day, and seek professional evaluation if pain worsens or weakness persists.

I add 2 cups of Epsom salt to my bath water and I soak in the hottest water I can stand...We get the magnesium that we need from it also...I have used every drug out there for Fibroy over 10 yrs I admit some has helped but it gradually made my life hell.....Always in a Fog couldn't make decisions right away always tired...I was not like this before the drugs...I found out that you need to take charge of your own body...If you live in a state for legal marijuana use CBD oil the full strength or go on medical marijuana..Don't smoke it...What's bad I live in Indiana so I only can use CBD oil...I just put myself on it with a inflammatory drug for now...I know everybody has their own ideas and that's ok...Darn it all I wished we all can be pain free again...I will not let this beat me I love my life that God had given me...Stay strong

@A MyFibroTeam Member Have you had your shoulders x-rayed? I was having similar pain and weakness. The orthopedic doctor said my joint was loose and could do with a reverse total shoulder replacement or repair. After the replacement or repair it is attached to the back muscles since the arm muscles are weak. Hope this helps.

Neck and shoulder pain is the worst although it's not just there it is straight down my arms be careful with the shoulder pain as it could be letting you know that there is something worse coming. Three years ago my neck and shoulder started giving me problems so I went to have it checked out and had ex rays taken of my neck. It showed nothing was wrong but the pain continued. So I suffered through it and it seemed to be getting more intense until one morning I woke up and I was in excruciating pain and could not move my arm. Went immediately to the Dr. only to find out that I had frozen shoulder, it took about three weeks for it to rear it's ugly head. My Dr. informed me that I was in for a ride that it could take up to 3 years to heal. I was lucky it only took a year and a half but still has never been the same. I used the Dr. Hoe pain therapy system as this is what they put on me when I went to therapy so I used it several times a day.

Pick a time of day when you are feeling your best. (Mine is morning). I use weights I have in my house and do various strength exercises for my arms, shoulders and chest. Then when I am finished I immediately get into a hot bath with epson salts and soak for at least 10 or 15 minutes. It makes a huge difference. If I don't do that I will usually put myself into a flare. Boo!
The things we have to do just to try and have a pain free day. Good luck! ❤️
