I was wondering if anyone is on antidepressant and anxiety meds at the same time? Lately I have had really bad anxiety my heart races and my thoughts race through my head so fast I feel nauseous and just want to hide before I have a full blown panic attack. I suffer from anxiety and I take lorazepam. I do have abit of depression but not on medication for that yet. Anxiety and depression are a big part of fibro. I also have tachycardia so it doesn't take much to make.me feel anxious. A lot of people seem to think that we should be able to control our anxiety without medication. Easier said than done. I prefer to take the lorazepam. It allows mt to spend most the day without being in a state of anxiety and on hedge all the time. This way I can control my pain and tachycardia better and enjoy life more. I also try to keep a positive attitude and remind myself of my accomplishments to reduce my anxiety.

Some antidepressants can cause anxiety. And some antidepressants also work as anti-anxiety medication.

Yes, I have taken both at same time but just recently asked to get off the depression pills, I feel like it's gotten more managed. I do still get dark days but I nip it in the butt with prayer! What I take for anxiety is Lorazepam and I was taking peroxatine. I hope your doctor will listen to you and give you the right treatment. I have been on anti-depression medication for over 10 years because of my fibro. With the pain levels going up and down and other side effects of fibro depression can be part of the on going problems. The best remidey is exercise, getting out and smelling the roses, I am a great believer in walking for 20-30 minutes everyday if possible. Sometime you have to walk through the pain but it's being out in the fresh air.

So sorry to know you are going through so much anxiety and depression. I started taking spirulina it's a natural vitamin it's algae I take the Hawaiian one it has helped me so much with my depression I can now clean I can now do stuff around the house without just sitting there doing nothing I also take a lot of walks I try to be outside as much as possible and I have noticed that that helps I get them at the Vitamin Shoppe they sell him on Amazon but they're more expensive but whatever is easy for you if you can't go to the store hope this helps look it up. Antidepressants a lot of times make you worse that's the only thing doctors are trying to do is give you meds I lived in Hawaii for over 6 years and learned a lot of natural remedies kava helps you as well you can drink it as tea and that helps you as well hope this helps I'm no doctor I'm just speaking for what has helped me God bless sending you a big hug from San Diego California
