My ability to use my arms and legs has gotten worse recently. It starts with a sudden migraine out of no where and then My arms and legs start to feel numb and shaky then I lose my ability to use them. Usually lasts 1-3 hours max. My Rheumatologist says he's never heard of this happening before but Fibromyalgia has many different strange symptoms. I've had some other weird symptoms/things going on and he's had the same response. Anybody experience anything similar? Also as a side note after this… read more

Members widely validated the experience of sudden weakness in arms and legs, with many sharing similar episodes of shakiness, numbness, difficulty walking, and needing assistive devices like walking sticks or walkers during flares. Several members described specific triggers including squatting, bending, or light activities like picking strawberries, which left them unable to stand or move normally for hours or even days afterward, often followed by intense fatigue. A recurring theme was the frustration of being dismissed by doctors, feeling like a hypochondriac when tests come back normal, and the urgent need for healthcare providers who truly understand the unpredictable and debilitating nature of fibromyalgia symptoms.

Several years back if I got down to get something out of the bottom cupboard,.. my husband would have to grab on to me around the waist and pick me up. It was like I had no strength at all in my legs.
It also started happening with my arms. I was dropping things, and now they ache and throb with pain.

I I do work squatting down my legs become very weak and shaky. Like cleaning a bottom cupboard. Last weekend I went strawberry picking for 30 minutes and sat on a low bucket to pick and when I got up my legs were so shaky and weak and I had a hard time walking back to the house. Really scared me. The feeling lasted most of that day and the next day I was so tired. Very frustrating that a small thing like picking strawberries brings on a flare up like this.
