Hi. I am new on here and newly diagnosed. For the past three years I have been getting a tingling sensation in my face and tongue. This sometimes happens in my legs too. Sometimes it is so severe in my legs that they give way. Does anyone else experience this as I am trying to find out if it is fibromyalgia or something else causing this. I have had lots of different tests but no other cause has come to light.

Members connected over the frightening experience of tingling sensations in the face, tongue, and legs associated with fibromyalgia, with several sharing that stress appears to worsen symptoms and that weakness in the legs sometimes causes falls. Many members described similar sensations, including feelings resembling stroke symptoms, migraine-related tingling, and myofascial pain, with some noting that doctors initially dismissed falls as unrelated to fibromyalgia despite resulting injuries like broken bones. A recurring theme was the relief members felt in discovering their symptoms were likely connected to fibromyalgia rather than something more sinister, along with gratitude for the community's validation and shared understanding of these unsettling experiences.

AH, I get that it's myofacial pain (tingling is just a low level pain--as is itching) My doctor told me it's realatively common with fibro (scared me to pieces at first)

Hi there, I have had many tingling experiences with my fibro. I am not sure if it is related but I am guessing that it is. I have it in my face and lips often and it makes me feel odd and I know that people recognize it. I almost feel at times like I am having a slight stroke however I have been told that I am not. I also have it in my head and sometimes my hands and legs. My head and face I have been told, is migraine symptoms. It just gets better and better. I hope that you don't keep getting them. For me it seems to be a lot worse when I am stressed out. So I am trying to rid my world of negativity. lol It isn't easy sometimes, but I am getting there lol.

Hi! And welcome to the group. I don't have the tingling, unless I sit too long and my feet go to sleep. That caused me to fall on my concrete carport once. Ouch!! Mine is mostly that my feet and legs hurt a lot, especially if I stand for a long period. That could be neuropathy. I've read that can be another of our lovely symptoms. Please be careful and have someone help you when you can. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Actually, I've been having a lot of the same problems with my legs. They feel tingly and weak, especially during a flare-up. Sometimes my legs lose strength and I need help standing. Since fibro is linked to the central nervous system, it never seemed too far-fetched to be related. Take it easy as best as you can and stay positive!

When I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia they said that the falls where probably nothing to do with it. I have had 3 years of tests and they have come up with nothing. Despite me breaking fingers, toes, ribs and God knows what damage to my knees and back with the falls I thought it must be fibromyalgia so think I will have a word with my doctor on my next visit. Thanks for your help. I have been worried this could be something sinister so the fact it is another symptom is a bit of a relief. 😊😊😊😊
