Has anyone experienced changes in how your body handles alcohol? It's pretty new with me but I find even a little alcohol causes huge flate ups the next day. Like " can't get outta bed" flare up. Anyway. Just curious.
Needless to say, I am avoiding alcohol all together.

Members overwhelmingly confirmed that alcohol triggers severe fibromyalgia flare-ups, with many describing debilitating pain, headaches, and anxiety lasting one to two days after even small amounts of wine, beer, or cocktails. Several members shared the difficult decision to quit drinking entirely, despite missing the social aspect or temporary relief some experienced while drinking, because the next-day consequences of extreme body pain, fatigue, and emotional distress simply weren't worth it. A recurring theme was the validation and relief members felt in discovering they weren't alone in this experience, with many expressing gratitude for the community's understanding of how their bodies now react so differently to alcohol.

Same here. I don't have a gallbladder to process alcohol anymore anyway, but even if I have a cider or two, sometimes the next day I'm miserable.

Yes for sure! I've noticed any alcohol causes me to have a flare up and the more that I had drank the worse it is. Which makes me sad I love to have a margarita sometimes.

Yes. I don't drink alcohol anymore for the same reason. I don't need the calories either ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yes! I just had one drink and the next day I was in horrible pain, had immense anxiety, and twitched like crazy. I don't think it's for me anymore which kind of stinks because that seems like that's what everyone does for fun.

yeah, I get severe anxiety and panic attacks the next day. Totally sucks because when I have a pint all my fibro symptoms disappear but the next day, i am in horror. So, I don't drink anymore, I haven't found anything that makes me feel better or does not bother me.
