I found my last video the best of all so far. Dan has a very balanced "here is what you do your best on" perfect is not required. BUT you have to get a hold on your major triggers. I'm well along with my ibs and sleep. My ptsd needs to be worked on, tho. It is my main fibromyalgia trigger, I think. So I am working on it with my trauma counsellor and my plan to do neurotherapy. I emailed dan, he is very supportive, day by day. He emails back very reliably
Video 9 now. Learned that 3 most important physical triggers are hypoglycaemia, gut dysfunction and sleep disorder. Certainly fits for me.
So, going strong with ans rewired. Video 7, learning about root causes of fibro. Awaiting meditation cds in the mail. I agree with everything dan neuffer has said so far
We were given free access to mindfulness app for 1 year through work - it never suited me though but loads of people loved it at work and now pay fir it thrmseves ---Basically my RLS and Fibro means I can't relax it's the hardest thing in the world for me to switch off and I basically couldn't despite trialling it for 3 months. I found the programme very frustrating and it made me anxious , what I mean is being told to lay still and clear my mind made me worse if fidget and become more restless . Total distraction is best for me but I don't practice it much e g. Singing in a choir it's hard not to concentrate during a song or hymn . Good luck I'd give it a go why not but try to negotiate a trial period even for a couple of weeks first ๐
Neurotherapy is for many things, including ptsd. It's for changing neural pathways.
