Hi guys,
Wondering if anyone would have an explanation as to how someone could put on 30kg in four months without s change in diet. I was the same weight for about 20 years. So don't actually know what is happening. Is this Fibro or something else ?? If it is Fibro what do you so about it? All advice welcome xx

Members responded to concerns about unexplained rapid weight gain by overwhelmingly identifying medications as the primary culprit, with many citing specific drugs like amitriptyline, Lyrica, Citalopram, and chlonidine as common causes. Several members shared their personal success stories of losing significant weight by switching medications, adopting strict low-calorie or low-carb diets like Banting or ketogenic eating, and incorporating gentle daily movement such as 30-minute walks, swimming, or physical therapy. A recurring theme was the frustrating cycle of pain limiting activity which leads to weight gain which then worsens depression and pain, met with compassionate encouragement to review medications with doctors, move gently when possible, and extend grace to oneself during a difficult journey.

All the meds, trigger points injections, not active like before, I had to also stop working, no energy, fatigue, body pain, all roll into my body, 40 pounds, 3 years later😂I'm now slowly losing it, watching what I eat, 30 mins on the treadmill, tons of water, swimming, gardening, 30 mins a day is good for me😍I stay in bed to long, 2017 I told myself things need to change, I made myself get up each morning to get going, taking breaks in between the day. Some days I just get up shower have a very light breakfast and lounge around reading, or just enjoying some good movies. God is My Strength, he helps me each day, those are my blessing he gives me each day💞 Sending warm hugs🌹

I follow the banting way of eating which is high fat, medium protein and low carbs. I have lost 20 KGS and improved BP , diabetes and IBS. It also helps with reducing inflammation. Obviously the fibro is still there, but I really believed that Banting helps.
