Is it just me, but I used to love to wear my jeans, nowadays I want to be in pull up type of pants. I dont dress up like I used to, even make up is too much to put on.
Anyone else change like that?

Members shared how fibromyalgia has dramatically changed their clothing choices, with most no longer able to tolerate jeans, belts, or restrictive fabrics due to heightened skin sensitivity and nerve pain. Several members described switching to comfortable alternatives like joggers, tracksuit bottoms, loose cotton clothing, and even turning shirts inside out to avoid irritating seams, while makeup and dressing up have become too exhausting or impractical when pain limits energy and mobility. A recurring theme was the relief of knowing they are not alone in prioritizing comfort over appearance, with the community offering understanding and validation that fibromyalgia's impact on daily life extends far beyond what others can see.

yes I have notice anything with belt loops, I can not do anything with, so jogging pants nice one I crease them just like dress pants and a nice top and I am good to go, or anything loose, really it seem as if I really don't like clothes anymore, and I have not wore any makeup in years, I have a drawer full of lip gloss...I don't like driving much either.

I was just having this conversation at work. Luckily I can wear shorts & tshirts. Recently I've noticed I do SO much better w the Nike shorts w panty inside. No binding. Sweat isn't a problem bc they dry quickly.

Most of the time I can't tolerate tight or restrictive clothing. I wear all cotton clothing and change into pajama pants and a t shirt preferably inside out so the seems don't rub my skin!

Hi - I think the need to wear more comfortable clothes is because anyone who suffers with fibro and all relating ailments has a super sensitive body and nervous system and then comfort overrides appearance. I have a wardrobe full of attractive clothing that now, never see the light of day!!! ๐Ÿ™‚
