Hi, I'm pretty nervous, I'll be attending the medical for my disability benefit tomorrow afternoon, Friday (E.S.A.Uk) I hope I can deal with the questioning okay. I know many of you have been through this, so any tips, words of wisdom or a prayer would be very welcomed and much appreciated. The centre has arranged transport to collect me at 11.30am and the centre is ground floor so that is a help. Thank you, I am praying for good days for you all too, low pain and healing beneficial rest πŸŒΈπŸŒΉπŸ’•

Members rallied around a request for support before a disability benefit assessment (ESA UK), offering both practical tips and heartfelt prayers. A recurring theme was to always describe your worst days honestly, not hold back emotions, and to write down symptoms, medications, and daily struggles beforehand to stay focused under pressure. The community also offered warm reassurance, breathing techniques to manage nerves, and celebrated together when the member returned to share that she had completed her assessment and was awaiting results.

Hi, all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful messages of support and prayers. The knowledge that I'm not alone in my struggles is so very comforting. My assessment was quite an ordeal, but I'm feeling positive. I'll know the decision within six weeks. I've got a monster of a headache this morning, so I'm going to leave the screens for a while. Wishing you all lovely summery days ahead, low pain and joy in your hearts πŸŒžπŸ’•πŸŒΉ

Hi, yes put this in God's hands and you will do fine. You live in the U. K. I live in the USA and it can take up to three years and sometimes you have to hire an attorney. However, it sounds like you will get a quicker response there. Sometimes I understand some people here get it in a couple of months. When you get your disability approved... it will all be worth it. You are in my prayers along with everyone else on this wonderful site. Yes, I will be doing this soon as well. Please keep us posted on the process. Love, hugs and prayers πŸ™

I applied for SSI 23years ago. I was very honest with them, and I told them how much Fibro had cost me in regards to how much I had to give up doing in my life. My life as I knew it was over. I did get the SSI. Thank God!
