Members shared various strategies for managing hair loss, with biotin supplements emerging as the most frequently recommended solution, alongside folic acid, which several members credited with stopping their hair shedding entirely. Many members described underlying causes they discovered through medical care, including thyroid imbalances, vitamin D deficiency, anemia, and autoactive conditions, emphasizing the importance of working with doctors to identify root causes before trying treatments. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding what works, with members also mentioning practical approaches like Rogaine, caffeine shampoo, argon oil products, NuHair with DHT blockers, topical prescription treatments, and creative styling solutions like wigs and stretchy headbands to manage visible loss while seeking longer-term solutions.

NuHair- Pricey, but less than some hair loss products. NuHair has DHT Blocker that blocks the hormone that causes hair loss. Also anemia can cause hair loss and stress.

I had about a 6-8 month period with extreme scalp sensitivity (allodynia) and hair loss. I saw a dermatologist (no help). I cut my hair short, and started using a shampoo with argon oil. Also, found out I was mildly anemic and corrected that. Pain and hair shedding have stopped. Hope this helps.

I've been taking Natures Bounty Hair, nail and skin Biotin but, my hair still comes out so easy it's frustrating.
