Members shared mixed experiences with kratom for pain management, with some finding it helpful as an alternative to opiates while others reported serious side effects like seizures and shaking episodes. Several members described their broader pain management strategies, including CBD cannabis oil (which some found more effective than hemp oil), muscle relaxers, and careful dosing schedules that helped reduce their reliance on prescription pain medications. A recurring theme was the willingness to try alternative treatments for chronic pain conditions like fibromyalgia and back problems, balanced with caution about potential risks and the importance of thorough research before trying new supplements.

My husband took it for back pain. Be careful not to take too much. He had serious side effects.

He had mini seizures. He would start shaking and then just go down. He would be fine in a few seconds but it was really scary.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, hello your questions about Kratom, it's an herb that grows in Asian Countries, I have never tried it, but my husband Rick uses it for trying not to take opiates, πŸ‘€πŸ‘€he had back surgery 3yrs ago come September 3rd !!!! they removed 2 discs, put in a ton of metal hardware to keep his back together n come to find out he has a disc right above the 2 that were removed that needed to come out to but his Dr said, bcuz he was under anesthesia the 1st day for 8 hrs, n the 2nd day for 7hrs, they don't like to leave patients asleep 4 that long, right it's all about $$$$$ !!!!! OK I'm getting off subject sorryπŸ˜†πŸ˜†, but anyway there are several strains available just depends on what you need it to do !!!!! Rick uses one called Ming Da, Red veined, also Malay, you can take it with juice, put it in veggie capsules or make tea, but the tea is a hassle Rick says !!!! it tastes pretty strange, but you get used to it !!!! it also dulls his back pain, to where he can function n get things done !!!! does it morning n night, sometimes during the day too, depending on how he feels !!!!! it's not that expensive, n better for you than pills. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘Just do your research n try it !!!! can't hurt you !!!! I'm using CBD Cannibus Oil under my tongue, started on April 28th, I can go some days without any pain Meds until like 3 or 4pm.... if your going to try it make sure you get Cannibus Oil not Hemp Oil, they both come from the same plant but hemp is the stock, n stems of the plant, not the flowers or buds !!!! good luck n let me know what you tried ???, I was on 9 pills, now down to 4. YAHOO !!!!!! sending you hugs ❀❀❀ PEACE N LOVE N HAPPINESS TOO 🌹 πŸƒ 🌷 🌿 🌸 πŸ€ 🌻 βœŒπŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

@A MyFibroTeam Member, I have been using cbd oil (hemp) for over a month now with no improvement. Can't get the cannabis here yet. Tried to find someplace I could order it but have had no luck. Guess I'll just have to wait til it's available in Oh. Hugs....Kathi
